This model is based on a lens shape sampled from a catalog of a historical American eyeglass manufacturer published in 1935. It took several seasons to incorporate this lens shape into the frame design, and it is so distinctive that at first glance it is difficult to tell the difference between left and right.

This model features the military hinge with two-pin rivets spaced apart between them placed on the front and temples. This hinge and a plain washer on the inside are new parts created specifically for this model. Details and ideas are classic, but the overall design has a modern feel.
