This model incorporates the shape of the 2019SS model “158”, which was inspired by the TV screen case design of a 1970s watch, in the structure of the 2024AW model “1000”. The endpiece is made from a single piece of strong beta titanium sheet metal, sliced to 1mm, and a hinge is soldered to the backside using a special technique. The hinge area is accented with diamond-cut detailing on both the upper and lower sections. Assembled using 7285’s original slotted screws, the result is a serene and beautifully finished industrial design. The sunglasses use the original “EYEVAN curve lens”, a Japanese-made glass lens that is made by mixing metal particles and other ingredients to create the color, then melting it and molding each lens individually.
